DETROIT (WXYZ) - As she prepares for retirement, our own Diana Lewis has received another honor by being named a Detroit Legend by the Detroit Historical Society.
As part of the honor, Diana placed her handprints in cement to become part of the Historical Society's new Detroit Legends Plaza.
Also honored was event emcee, WJR's Paul W. Smith.
Mayor Dave Bing, hockey Hall of Famer Gordie Howe and author Elmore Leonard have already had their handprints cast in cement for the Plaza.
The new Legends Plaza is part of the renovation of the Detroit Historical Museum, which will reopen to the public November 23.
