(WXYZ) - WXYZ-TV Channel 7 will premiere a new award-winning and exciting show on Tuesday, September 9 at 7:30 p.m. “The List” airing Monday through Friday at 7:30 p.m., goes beyond the “news of the day”, offering viewers a look at what’s hot and trending around the country in a fun, entertaining “list” format. The show will also feature “Around the D”, a daily segment that highlights the latest happenings across the Detroit metro.
“The List” is an original “infotainment” program produced by Scripps Broadcasting. The show features national segments created at KNXV, the Scripps ABC affiliate in Phoenix, as well as local inserts produced in each local television market.
The show, originally launched on seven Scripps-owned stations across the country, will now air in an additional six markets, including Detroit. The national show is hosted by Teresa Strasser and Donna Ruko. The Detroit segments are hosted by Emmy Award-winning host Jimmy Rhoades, who also contributes stories that air nationally. Rhoades is a former host of the national cable network, Fox Movie Channel.
“There is so much great stuff happening in the Detroit area right now. We’re looking forward to highlighting the talented people who are having such a positive impact in the community,” said Jimmy Rhoades.
“We’re excited to bring this fun new program to Detroit,” said E.W. Scripps GM and WXYZ vice-president and general manager Ed Fernandez. “We’re certain the show, and the unique twist it brings to trending topics each day, will become a favorite with Detroit area viewers.”
