DEARBORN, Mi. (WXYZ) - Motown classics sung by local Rhythm and Blues group "The Ladeez" had guests swaying from the time they entered the ballroom at "The Henry."
In fact, it took the always stunning and fit woman behind Weight Watchers to take to the podium and call for quite three times before the crowd of more than a thousand calmed down the dance moves.
"This afternoon is about inspiration" said Flourine Mark, and that's exactly what it turned out to be.
For it's 14th year in a row the ReMARKable Women's luncheon gave honors, good food, and had women who were strangers sharing tears and personal stories as if they were old friends.
This year's honorees: Inside Edition's Deborah Norville, President Emeritus HGTV and Food Network Judy Girard.
Detroit Free Press Columnist Rochelle Riley, Channel 4 Anchor Ruth Spencer, FOX-2 Anchor Deena Centofanti, and 7 Action News Anchor Glenda Lewis were on the celebrity guest panel.
Proceeds go to 5 local charities including Flourine's own Inpatient Unit for Women's & Children's Health (Henry Ford Health System.)
