ROCHESTER, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Fourth Annual Esteemed Women of Michigan Luncheon will once again recognize the women in our community who have excelled in their profession, risen above unacceptable circumstances and found a way to help others.
The special recognition will take place in the Royal Park Hotel in Downtown Rochester Monday, September 30th.
Close to 30 women will be honored this year.
Among them: US Attorney, Eastern District of Michigan Barbara McQuade, United States Senator Debbie Stabenow, State Representative Rashida Tlaib, Detroit Free Press Columnist Rochelle Riley, and President/CEO of Walsh College Stephanie Bergeron.
Women of the 7 Action News team have been among the honorees in years past including Diana Lewis, Robbie Timmons, Carolyn Clifford, Val Clark, Cheryl Choudun and Glenda Lewis.
The luncheon will benefit the Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic of Pontiac.
Since 1997, the clinic has provided free medical, dental and pharmaceutical services to Oakland County citizens who are uninsured or underinsured.
