SOUTHFIELD, Mich (WXYZ) - "Calling All Angels" is a group of metro Detroit women who work together for a greater cause. The charitable organization raises money for local charities in need. This year they put their efforts together for Covenant House Michigan.
Covenant House Michigan is a sanctuary for young people who have nowhere to go. Kids who come to our doors have been abused and neglected, have slept on friends' couches or in abandoned buildings. These kids have been forgotten by those who are supposed to care about them the most.
When they come through our gates, they become part of a family. Our staff, volunteers and donors carry out our mission based on faith and the belief that all of God's children deserve unconditional love, respect and hope.
"Calling All Angels" is run by Laura Bostick who had a dream to help those who couldn't help themselves. She works all year long to help those who need it the most.
7 Action News Anchor Vic Faust has been helping the organization for several years and was the emcee of their 2013 event on Friday night November 8th at Penna's in Sterling Heights.
