Heather Catallo is the anchor of the Action News Sunday Morning and Noon shows.
An award-winning reporter, Heather is a native Detroiter committed to her community both on and off the job. Since she arrived at the station in 1999, Heather has brought hard-hitting investigative reports and breaking news coverage to Channel 7 viewers.
Raised in Bloomfield Hills, Heather graduated from Andover High School and went on to attend the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse, New York. Upon graduation, she worked as a reporter for WTVH-TV in Syracuse and as a Police Beat reporter for KREM-TV in Spokane, Washington.
Heather is the recipient of many honors, has received several Emmy nominations, including best anchor and best reporter. Most recently she won the 2007 Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award for Best Reporter, and received a MAB Merit Award for her investigative work. Additionally, Heather has won the 2003 and 2005 Associated Press Award for Best Individual Reporting, and she also received the Hearst National Television Award for Excellence in Journalism in 1998.
Heather is married, and has a daughter. She loves spending her free time with her family and their English Bulldog.
