Joining the Channel 7 Action News Team in June 2004, Michael Rosenfield brings stories of the streets to the people of Metro Detroit.
Michael came to WXYZ-TV after working "up the road" as a reporter and fill in anchor at WJRT-TV in Flint. Prior to that, Michael served as weekend anchor/weekday reporter at KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Michael received his undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. From there he started as a production assistant and then story coordinator at "Inside Edition" in Los Angeles. He went on to the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University for his master’s degree in broadcast journalism.
Michael has been honored for his reporting with first-place awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, the South Dakota Associated Press and the Northwest Broadcast News Association. Michael has also earned three Michigan Emmy nominations for Breaking News and Human Interest.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Michael is a big-time Boston sports fan, but you’ll find him rooting hard for Detroit teams too! He enjoys tennis, swimming, reading and traveling with family and friends.
