Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan was named a Champion in Action by Channel 7 and Charter One Bank. The organization works with students, educators and the business community to inspire and prepare young people to succeed.
Junior Achievement (JA) provides handson, experiential learning to students in grades K-12 throughout ten counties in southeast Michigan. Age-appropriate lessons are taught by business and community volunteers who infuse their life experiences into the curriculum.
Since 1949, the JA of Southeastern Michigan has educated and inspired more than 1.5 million young people. Last year more than 1,200 volunteers delivered JA's programs to more than 37,000 students.
