Congratulations to the Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team who was named a Champion In Action by Channel 7 and Charter One Bank.
The Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team ( MCREST ) partners with more than 80 churches throughout Macomb County to provide temporary housing to those in the community who no longer have a place to call home.
Each week, with the support from MCREST, a different church opens its doors to provide shelter, food and support to program participants. More than 60 men, women and children are given shelter every month as well as access to resources and sevices that will help them return to self-sufficiency.
