A lot of retirees on fixed income cannot afford cable. They use rabbit ears. A lot of the unemployed cannot afford cable either.

I still find it hard to believe anyone really uses "rabiit ears" Heck my MOm is about as old school as they get and she uses DirecTV! Russ www.real-anonymity.pro.tc

I will never buy another digital box because they have cameras in them so the government can watch you. I am glad i smashed mine.

Now watch.......you'll see a multitude of these old transmitters at the Dayton Hamfest

Whatever they did when they switched, they did not synchronize the picture with the sound. It drives me nuts and to the point that I am no longer watching anything on channel 7.

I am up north at the cabin on vacation. Roscommon area. We lost about 4 channels with the switch. I no longer get the NBC or ABC station. Not up here enough to get a dish or cable. I wish the cable companies would make some kind of seasonal rate or offer something for the resort areas. I won't hold my breath. I have scanned and rescanned . Still only 4 channels.

They said the picture quality would look a lot better, it looks the same, no surprise there.

I called in and spoke with sombody who knew the answer.. back in Feb, the top antenna has been changed out to the new UHF for ATSC (HD-Digital) use up on top at 1200Feet the analog transmitter was moved onto the old/existing VHF standby array @900Feet. and was shut off today. :-)

Steve Gladden at 6:03pm June 12 I wonder if this means the digital transmitter is now getting moved to the main antenna on top.. or did they do that ages ago and put the analog transmitter on the lower standby antenna array. (Jay might know)..
