If our e-mail is a good indication, an overwhelming number of Channel 7 viewers have had it with their lawmakers in Lansing. That’s the feedback we’re getting from people who saw our editorial on Michigan’s budget fiasco.
One viewer writes:
“…As citizens, we need to be more adamant about holding state lawmakers accountable. And when it comes to cuts, the first place should be with THEIR salaries!”

“We need new leadership in this state. I, for one, cannot wait until Jennifer Granholm is gone. …No wonder people are leaving Michigan.”

“…Maybe these politicians should have a report card to show voters how they performed…in the House or Senate…. If they can’t balance the state budget, then maybe they should go HOME!”

“Nero fiddled while Rome burned and this is exactly what the state lawmakers are doing with Michigan’s budget.”
And finally, this short e-mail from Joe:
“Good job Jenny and Democrats!”
