Woodward Dream Cruise

Last Update: 8/17/2007 4:02 pm
This souvenir is as original as it gets. It’s a replica of a drag racing citation from 1962.

Fill it out, have a police officer sign it, and bingo; you’ve got an instant collector’s item from the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Perhaps the best place to see vintage cars like this ’32 Ford Roadster celebrating its 75th anniversary.

The souvenir ticket is also the nicest way authorities and sponsors can remind you that the Dream Cruise is a fun, family event.

No booze, no burnouts, and no speeding.

Just get yourself a good seat on the side of the road and gaze out at the 40,000 classic cars expected on Woodward Avenue. It’s more than just another car show.

It’s déjà vu for people who love cars of the cruise culture. It was also a time when American cars like this ’55 Chevy Bel Air were the kings of the road and life seemed a lot simpler.

So come on out or turn on Channel 7 and take it all in. Together, let’s make this year’s Woodward Dream Cruise the best one ever!
