I think it is rediculous to expect someone to tip for carryout food. Should we be tipping the McDonalds employees too? I think they work much harder than say an Applebee's employee who answers the phone and rings up your bill. Give me a break!

You still have to tip, even if you order carryout from a restaurant. It is expected to tip 10% for carryout service, as they are still preparing all the things that come along with it. The waitstaff/bartenders at places like Applebee's and such only receive approximately $3.75/hr, you depend on the tips! You have to tip out at the end of the day based on total sales, that total sales figure includes any take out orders.

Consider just dinking water instead of soft drinks which often add $2.00 each to your bill.

Watch Fast food deals: Mc DOnalds charges $4.12 for a Sausage McGriddle Meal. You can get 2 mcgriddles & Jelly for $.75, a $1 sausage biscut and a large drink for $2.92 - You take the sausage from the biscut and make a mcgridle and have biscuts and jelly - not only did you save but thats a lot of food. KFC charges an outrageous price for 2 pieces of chicken and a biscut ($5.69) you can get 1 2 piece meal with a biscut and a side for $3.99. Consumers be careful!!!

Are you kidding me? You're telling people that cannot put more than $5 worth of gas in their cars that $53 for a steak is a bargain? Even at $18 for your so-called 'cheaper' version, this is not for the majority of the people in this area. Those who can afford to spend $53 on a steak dinner out do not need tips on 'How to Eat Out for Less'. $53 can buy a weeks worth of groceries for a family. Give us some usable information.
