(WXYZ) ABC News is reporting that President Elect Barack Obama has picked Illinois Congressman Rahm Emanuel to serve as his White House Chief of Staff.
The move had been expected, however sources close to the situation say Emanuel has not yet accepted the job. Emanuel is a White House veteran, having served in the Clinton administration before being elected to Congress in 2002. He currently serves on the powerful Ways and Means Committee.
Many political observers expect Obama to formally announce his picks for Chief of Staff and Treasury Secretary sometime this week.
