The black/white tag is probably more of an issue on this chat site moreso than it is all across America. I try to check in here on the daily to catch the usually good natured debating (bickering) that is always in play and some days it can get a trifle riled up but on this day which should be a day of celebration the claws are really coming out. Yes Obama has won and is now The President Elect. What exactly is the argument? Does it matter if he's more black than white or more white than black? What should matter to everyone is now that he will be the president of ALL of The United States Of America, not just a select group but again ALL - we should pull together for the good of this country for we are all American citizens. Nationwide the people have voiced their choice. Pleeeease can we NOT turn this victory into something ugly? We should also be more sensitive to those that supported McCain/Palin because for various reasons they feel as though their hopes have been dashed. McCain made a wonderful speech last night encouraging all of his supporters to help make the journey of America's much needed revitalization a fruitful one. I admired McCain watching him admit defeat in one breath and commending Obama with the next breath. As far as Palin she is worth something. No one should be degraded simply for having inadequacies. God bless her and her family as they return back home to Alaska. As a matter of fact GOD BLESS US ONE AND ALL and remember... WE CAN!!!

I don't wish anything bad for McCain or Palin. I think they did as best as they could. Americans are the ones that wanted change and that is exactly what Obama talked about. Those of you who come on here and vent, grow up.

You go MickeyMe!!!!!! Good for you! I am watching the View right now and it's all been about racial crap. This ought to be a very "non racial" next 4 years, lol.

I'm already tired of the garbage that I had to endure for the last 5 hours. Wali38, I am insulted by your comment... my ancesters came to this country and did nothing wrong to the black people! You are blaming all of the white people for the sins of a few. Like my parents and grand parents I work along with the blacks, I worked together quite well with my co-workers until last night, today their heads swelled ten times their original size and there is no talking to them. All of a sudden they know it all. Did you know that the first slaves of this country were Polish? They were enslaved in Jamestown back in the 1700's, but you won't find that in American History books, that information is not good for the country... or so I've been told. As for the presidential race, two candidates ran for president, the one with the most money won. Where did he get that money? From those that he now owes BIG favors to. You think B.O. is going to make your life easier? He is ONLY the president, our government is run by Congress and The President. Even if B.O. proposes a bill it must pass through the House of Representatives and Senate before he can sign it into law. In some cases those bills can takes years to pass. Don't expect miracles to happen, they are far and few between and if you are non religious... there is no such thing as a miracle to you because you believe in truth not faith. God Bless America... waiting to see what will happen in the next four years.

Again, in reference to the lovely D W Washburn, I am a 2nd generation of Polish immigrants in this country. My grandparents came here with the clothes on their backs looking for a better life in the good old USA. That is what this country is all about. Yeah, I'm white, blonde, slender and good looking too! Lucky me, ha ha. What makes you think that you are so special???

"PALIN" WAS THE STORY OF THE BEAUTY and THE BEAST! (and she is beautiful)... BUT LET HER GO BACK TO HER ALASKIN BEAST! AND PLAY WITH THE LONLY MOSE AND POLAR BEARS, BESIDES SHE IS ALSO VERY POWER STRUCK! SHE GOT A GOOD MAN,(law officer)OF THE JOB... JUST BECAUSE "SHE" WAS MAD AT SOMEONE?? "NO"...NO THANK "GOD" WE DAMN WELL DON'T NEED HER!!

The Senator was so classy and he seemed so incredibly sincere. Its commendable for someone who is at the end of their life to want to continue to serve this great country. He is rich and wants for nothing accept to continue to serve the American people. May God Bless him and his family. They fought a long hard race.

The next change needs to be in the Democratic "leadership." Reid and Pelosi have done nothing for two years. This country needs Senate and House leaders who will work to make real change.

I am admittedly disappointed in DW. I thought he was better than this. I hope he apologizes. He had been one that many respected on these boards.
