DETROIT (WXYZ) - This year's auto show display at Cobo Center takes on additional significance because domestic automakers are fighting for survival.

IN THE VIDEO PLAYER ON THE RIGHT, MARY CONWAY OFFERS A SNEAK PEEK OF THE SEVEN VEHICLES YOU MUST SEE AT THIS YEAR'S SHOW

Jean Jennings, the editor of Automotive magazine, says one vehicle you should see is the all-new re-designed Ford Taurus.

Jean is also impressed with the Cadillac Converj Concept, built on the Volt technology.

Jean says it's important to see the Chrysler 200 C to know that Chrysler still has products in the pipeline.

She also suggests checking out the Toyota Prius, the latest incarnation of the top selling hybrid. The BMW 4 makes her list for its sheer beauty.

For fun, she says to experience the Kia Soul, and to explore the future, the Lincoln C Concept is the small car packed with promise.
