I've been involved with the Cruise since the first year, and i think its about time it comes to an end. It's no longer about the cars, its about how much money the WDC, Inc can raise through corporate sponsorship. I was involved for many years in the organization, and I was amazed at how much money talked. Cities were shunned if they weren't "in the click", and spots which used to belong to participants were pulled out from under them to be converted so a high paying sponsor could park their truck there. Its great that charities benefit, but even they take a backseat when it comes to people on the WDC board getting what they want first.

And just like the last 5 years I'll be heading up north that week. Car lovers enjoy - I'll take the peace and quiet instead.
