(WXYZ) - An estimated 40,000 car enthusiasts are packing a 16-mile stretch of Woodward Avenue for the annual Dream Cruise, and among the autos on display are some vintage models from Hollywood.
Fans will have a chance to see the Batmobile, the "General Lee" and other famous iconic vehicles from TV and the movies.

In a year when General Motors and Chrysler have gone through bankruptcy court and are being supported with taxpayer dollars, this Cruise has participants feeling even more nostalgic about their vehicles - and appreciative of the revenue the event generates.
The economic impact of the 2007 Cruise was measured at $56 million, about $7 million better than the 2006 Super Bowl.
Saturday's cruise continues until 9 p.m. and will include eight suburban Detroit communities.
