(WXYZ) - Classic car owners hit the road by the thousands Friday night for a practice run on Woodward Avenue on the eve of the Dream Cruise.

The weather was perfect for drivers and spectators, and it was the ideal prelude to Saturday's day-long show that stretches from Ferndale to Pontiac.
