The term wheelchair-bound has been offensive to people with disabilitis and wheelchair users for over 30 years. When will professional journalists fully understand this and use appropriate terminology?

Very frustrating to watch the video and have to cut out. What happened? Did he win? As another person asked--did he have handicapped plates or a placard in the window? I can't imagine that he wouldn't have but it does bear asking. Because as the other person stated--if he didn't then there was more of an issue. Still I believe that he should have been able to appeal the ticket. F he parked there again without the proper notification then he should be made to pay the ticket.

This is just another example of how screwed up Detroit has become. I think since the Federal Government is taking over everything anyway, they should go ahead and take over this city. It is full of corruption and morons. I feel sorry for anyone that has to live in that city.

Being a conservative, I hate to even bring this up but..... If this man cannot find the justice he is looking for then perhaps he should bring in the ACLU. Lets see how high and mighty the Parking Division is with the ACLU crawling all over them. It's a thought.

They should do like Florida and other states....you can park anywhere as long as you display your handicap ticket or have the license plate.....Florida has parking meters all over..up and down streets....and you don't have to pay as long as you display your Sticker....This is ridiculous...it just shows how Stupid they are.......
