(WXYZ) Sander Levin is the current representative for Michigan's 12th congressional district, and a member of the Democratic party.
Levin has served in the U.S. House since 1982, where he serves as the third ranking Democrat on the House Ways and Means Committee. Before being elected, Levin served in the state Senate, and with the Carter administration an Assistant Administrator in the Agency for International Development.
Levin is running on a platform of extending unemployment and job creation. He also wants to protect the environment and advance the auto industry through the production of next generation vehicles.
