rdr789 - I always said Stefani committed legal blackmail. But, as the case went on I realized he disobey the Judge's order to commit that blackmail. Now I wondering if he can be charged with blackmail. And what can he be charge with for ignoring the Judge - contempt of court? This is going to be interesting.

Either they forgot one McPhailure or she turned a deal for evidance against the others. She played the major role in the cover-up. She was the laison between his "dishonor the former mayor" and the other weasels involved. Misconduct, my big toe! Corruption, and conspiracy; to a commited crime, they should all do time for thier actions. McPhailure worked out the "payoff for the messages" to cover up thier lies under oath. Where is the justice?

The Pighog Man @ 6:11 am: Just because there was corruption does not justify corruption. This is about Detroit today.

Kilpatrick was once an attorney, look at how truthful he was!

Tushana - not only Detroit's court system can be manipulated, there other court systems in Michigan that are as bad. Michigan people appear to be plain dishonest, it is riddled through our justice, law, legal, and business centers. Corruption new? Of course not.

For your readers who appear to so shocked and delighted of the consequences of the political situation in Detroit and want only the most harshest punishment to befall these corruptors of city government, let me tease your social appetites. This corruption of Detroit politicians did not start with these current actors and certainly not in 1973 when Coleman Young began his first term as Detroit's mayor. For the curious, hungry and revenge seeking observers, look at the past historical malfeasance of the then Detroit's politicians. For instance, Mayor Richard Reading , the Wayne County Sheriff, the Wayne County Prosecutor's office, members of the common council and of course the administrative heads of the Detroit Police Department. This happened prior to 1943. They were arrested and indicted following a one-man grand jury proceeding (Judge Ferguson) and later convicted. And even before that, corruption was a constitutional way of life and also a "grand way" to supplement a politician's small income. Look it up...don't believe me. I am also in agreement with sending the current group of "crumb snatchers" to jail. But they didn't invent corruption. Enjoy your observations of all american politics.
