DETROIT (WXYZ) - A charging document against former Synagro executive James Rosendall Jr. and credit card receipts seem to show a connection between former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and the Synagro scandal.

In the charging document, prosecutors say Rosendall provided a private jet to fly a city official identified as “City Official A” to Las Vegas in September of 2003. They also say that the official was in Las Vegas for the Oscar De La Hoya – Shane Mosley boxing match, which took place on September 13, 2003.
Action News has obtained credit card receipts that show former Mayor Kilpatrick was in Las Vegas during the time period in question. He stayed at the Mandalay Bay from September 12 to September 14, 2003. Kilpatrick did not have the city pay for his airfare to and from Las Vegas.
Kilpatrick has denied being a target of the Federal investigation into Synagro.
