I have an Acer Aspire One. I love it!! I already have a personal computer and a laptop in my household but I got this because I'm a part time graduate student and it's so convenient. I just slide it into the case (that came with netbook, which I got at Costco) and it fits into my purse or my bookbag without the extra bulk. I only use it for internet and word processing, but it's so nice to keep on the kitchen table or on my nightstand in case I need to look up a quick recipe or check my email before bed. That's just my opinion!!!

I bought a HP mini is great, just use thumbdrives for memory, came with a 2gb chip for side to make 10gb, works great, don't even use home computer anymore, wifi great, quick. better than my 2 pda's, hp1910 & palm tx. rather have this.HP 1030nr. better than dell unit. twice the audio chip.

I have 2 MSI Winds, and the gent's comment about needing an external dvd drive is bs. They make these things called thumb drives, flash drives, or whatever you want to call it. They come in 8, 16, 32 + gig sizes, enough to burn a dvd onto, with an average dvd about 7 gig, with all the fluff. As well, these things also sport an average HD of about 160 gig, so if you dummy it up with tons of pics, music and porn, you still will have enough room for a few of dvds for a trip. And as if you were going to put your full dvd library onto the thing. The Wind has an excellent sized keyboard, so you're not hitting multiple keys at once. If you buy one, make sure you get the 6 CELL battery for it, since you'll get about 4.5 hr of hardcore net with wireless. Hope this helps, and wxyz needs to get away from one source, unless he is working on commission, and needs to sell you an external dvd to make your trip more entertaining.
