(WXYZ ) - Channel 7 and Beaumont Hospitals will again offer a lifesaving heart program on Saturday November 14, at Oakland University.
Doctors will provide a complete heart check for high school students. An in-depth heart screening with a medical history review, blood pressure assessment and an electrocardiogram (EKG) -- will be conducted and reviewed by a Beaumont doctor.
The doctor will listen to the student's heart and may decide to do an echocardiogram, a non-invasive picture of the heart.
This screening helps look for the potential risk of sudden cardiac death.
