Last Update: 7/02 3:14 pm
(WXYZ) - An insurance company says it will offer short-term medical coverage in Michigan and 18 other states.

Golden Rule Insurance Company is offering two plans - Medical Plus and Short Term Medical value. The company says the plans are designed to help people struggling through times of transition and change.

According to the company, it is offering the coverage to help "bridge the gaps" in health insurance coverage if:
  • You've lost coverage through recent job or life change
  • You're a student or graduate no longer eligible for coverage under your parent's plan
  • You're a seasonal worker
  • You've retired and are waiting for Medicare eligibility
Golden Rule says it will provide you with a range of deductibles and payment options to meet your needs.
