What are the side effects?

I started taking vitamin D last fall after watching on Oprah that they recommend 1000mg a day. Within a week I started suffering joint pain and muscle weakness. I did not attribute it to the vitamin D until after 4 months because I have other health problems and was on other medication. My muscle and joint pain was so severe that I could hardly get up from a sitting position. Tests were done and nothing could be found for the pain. Then spring came and I could sit outside and get some sun each day so I stopped taking the vitamin D. Within 2 days my pain was gone. People need to be aware that not everyone can take vitamins and too late we realized I was allergic to vitamin D. After talking to my sister, I found out she had the same problem years before. So make sure you talk to your doctors before starting even vitamins.

Over 18 months ago the Canadian Cancer Society recommended that everyone take vitamin D to prevent cancer. There is now more data on vitamin D and cancer prevention than on smoking causing cancer! take a look at www.vitaminD3world.com to see all the data
