DETROIT (WXYZ)- The University of Detroit Mercy Dental School will host a free brace screening exam day June 19 that could allow children on Medicaid an opportunity to get free braces.
Children must be between the ages of 9 and 16 to qualify.
Only 60 children will be selected.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the school's campus at 2700 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Detroit.
The children's Medicaid cards or Social Security numbers must be presented prior to their exams.
