The number of confirmed H1N1 cases continues to rise in Michigan. As of Wednesday, June 10, the Department of Community Health reports that there are 418 confirmed cases of the virus which is commonly referred to as the swine flu.

CDC Says School Closures Not Advised
The CDC has issued new guidelines for schools that have suspected cases of the H1N1 virus. The health organization now says that it is not advising the schools to close.
ALERT: 6 New H1N1 Cases Confirmed in MI

U.S. H1N1 Tally at 241
The government's tally of confirmed swine flu cases in the United States jumped Sunday to 241 in 30 states, but officials said that's largely from catching up on a backlog of lab tests rather than a sudden spurt in new infections.
