Wilson: Some Vaccines Still Contain Mercury

It’s the controversy that won’t go away. Is the skyrocketing rate of Autism in children due in any way to the mercury long contained in childhood vaccines? It’s an issue our chief investigative reporter Steve Wilson has stayed with from the start. INSIDE: Watch Steve's extended report and tell us what you think

Thank you for your report! Parents in Michigan communities need this information to make informed decisions!! For those who disagree or thing that this report was a conspiracy??...??? Sorry. I would love to see a report from you guys on Gardisil (HPV), sounds like it has some serious problems and I would love to know the truth before I would even consider this vaccination for my daughter. Keep doing what you do. THANKS

I would like to have Steve Wilson do some research on the actual diseases that are killing these kids as well. There are vaccines, most of which are given to 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, and 15 month old children that do not have mercury in them, look at his page that says so! Go talk to some parents who have watched their children die or suffer on life support because they have gotten one of these diseases. Since this broadcast so many people now are refusing vaccines. Just wait until all these diseases start resurfacing and we have severe devastation. I'm just wondering why is there so much focus on the vaccines which are so highly regulated by the FDA but yet people these days are feeding their children organic everything and vitamins and probiotics and all kinds of other things that have NO regulations on them, nor are they ever even tested on children. People will walk into a health store and give their child whatever the person behind the counter says, but think--has it been tested and is it safe to give to children? Also the next time a parent goes to the doctor they should also think, am I going to listen to some news caster who has no medical background and who cares about ratings, or am I going to listen to a doctor, who went to years of medical school and obviously cares about children and their health or they would have picked a different career. If you cant' trust your doctor's recommendation on that, then you must be a really smart--smart enough to pass med school so what the hell are you doing in a doctors office anyway!!! I would like to say, find a new subject for a while, or keep on this one and when the diseases resurface from everyone not vaccinating then you can have a new story--"Death from vaccine preventable Disease, How did it happen" Keep up the good work!

Wilson is a hack! He could not tell you the statistical significance of a study any more than he could tell you the power of it. Look at any of the websites he has given as "proof" of his point with an objective eye and a little knowledge of statistics and you will see they aren't even worth the paper they are printed on. Mr. Wilson is clearly more interested in stirring up ratings than finding the truth. His whole career has been about that. We are in the "New MaCarthyism " generation folks where people refuse to believe the truth and look for a conspiracy theory and how they can get money in the courtroom. What a joke.

This story is just a bunch of propaganda for the TV station. Check out the link to the chart of the mercury content in the vaccines and then tell me the following statement is accurate "She’s talking about a mercury-based vaccine preservative called Thimerosal…and the truth is there’s still as much as ever in 11 vaccines including most flu vaccines injected into pregnant women and kids, and some of them younger than 9 get two doses in a season. And also high levels of mercury from Thimerosal in tetanus shots and the boosters routinely injected into 11-year-olds…and also in some meningitis and diphtheria-tetanus formulas, too. " Almost all the vaccines have NO mercury content in them and the ones that do, the highest level is 0.3%. Don't make blanket statements that there are very high levels of mercury in vaccines when there isn't. How many millions of people have been vaccinated without incindent and how many children in developing countries have died from the diseases we're being vaccinated against. There has NEVER been a study positively linking vaccines to autism. There needs to be more studies on other causes before we jump to conclusions.

EXEMPLARY IS WHAT I THINK!!! How refreshing…a reporter willing to investigate and report rather than repeat the readily accepted, apathetic mantra we’ve become so accustomed to from mainstream media. BRAVO, Mr. Wilson and THANK YOU!!!

JohnForTruth, Maybe you should go on the Vaers website, and see how many deaths there are from vaccines. Parents do not make up these reactions. They are the one's that watch thier healthy developing child regress after a set of vaccines. Science can say what they want, but parents know when something is not right thier child. I Dare you too check it out it is the vaccine reaction reporting system.

AutismNewsBeat, Thimerosal has not been out since 2002. They started to remove it in 2002, and it is still not out to this date. Check out the CDC or FDA website.I have done alot of research on vaccines and I saw no Mistakes in the reporting. The bottom line is this has encouraged parents to look into vaccines, instead of just trusting what they are told.

Kudos to Steve Wilson on his vaccine investigation.I have been a Hg free dentist now for over 27 years now and have been fighting for it's ban in dentistry. The largest source of exposure to Hg non-occupationally is from the mercury-silver fillings. It would be great to see Mr. Wilson do and expose' on this subject also.David W. Regiani DDS,Ortonville,Mich

Dear AutismNewsBeat, In my opinion, Mr. Wilson did enlighten. I think his report has informed people to think. To research the vaccines themselves, instead of blindly listening to the CDC, doctors, etc. To read some of the studies out there. To question why unvaccinated children seem unaffected by autism and why there has been no study on vaccinated vs. unvaccinated by the government to date. (Seems only logical) And you're right on the button, anyone can spread fear and panic. The medical community is EXPERT in that area.

Dear AutismNewsBeat, "What about the medical authorities in other Countries where the CDC has no authority" I will have to research that and find out what kind of an influence the studies and opinions the United States CDC may have on other countries and get back to you (and the pharm lobby). "Why researchers in the UK, Austrailia, Denmark, Finland, etc. also concluding that vaccines don't cause autism". Well, I agree with Dr. Bernadine Healy, former head of the National Institutes of Health. "the more you delve into it, if you look at the basic science, if you look at the research that has been done in animals, if you look at some of the individual cases, and if you look at the evidence that there is no link, what I come away with is, the question has not been answered." It is likely that many doctors, scientists, government officials and parents (in the US and other countries) also would agree with her. I personally haven't read a study that proves either way vaccines cause autism or don't cause autism or that they are a trigger for autism or that they are not a trigger for autism. All I have to do is LISTEN to my neighbors and the parents of my children's school friends affected by autism to understand the association between vaccines and autism. I urge all of you reading this, if you haven't already, to ASK parents of a child with autism what they think contributed to their child's regression into autism. I'm sure there are some, for various reasons, that would not say they think it's the vaccines. But my experience is that most I've personally talked to think the vaccines had something to do with their child's regression.
