Forte: Roasted Michigan Peach

Roasted Michigan Peach:
Served with Guernsey Farms Vanilla Ice Cream & Almond Praline Cookie

For the peach:
2 peaches (cut in half)
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 star anise
1 cinnamon stick
1 pinch nutmeg
2 hole cloves

dissolve the sugar in water and combing all ingredients (except the peaches) in a 2 quart sauce pan. Split the peaches and place flesh side down in a 9"X9" baking pan that is no less than 2" thick. Pour the syrup over the peaches and bat at 350°F for 25 minutes.

For the almond cookies:
4oz Softened Butter
4oz Sugar
4oz Flour
4oz Almonds
4.5oz Corn Syrup

In a food processor, combine all ingredients and pulse until well combined. Form 1oz balls of the mixture and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes at 350°.
