Hilary Duff in Town to Promote Food Program

(WXYZ)- Actress and singer Hilary Duff made a visit to Auburn Hills Thursday to promote a cause close to her heart.

Duff visited Auburn Hills Elementary school Thursday morning to participate in the Avondale school district's "Blessings in a Backpack" initiative.

The program works to ensure that students enrolled in the district's free and reduced meal program have enough food to last them throughout the weekend.
