There is no on-island parking for Grand Prix ticket holders, but there are a number of options for shuttle service from downtown Detroit, the suburbs, and Windsor.

Indy 500 grid filled - bumping next
The 33-car field for next Sunday's 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500 has been filled and beginning tomorrow, bumping of the slowest cars will begin.
Second day qualifying for Indy a washout
An all-day rain ended the second day of Indianapolis 500 qualifying even before it began. No drivers were able to take to the track.
Dixon leads Ganassi sweep on Pole Day
Target Chip Ganassi driver Scott Dixon captured the pole for the 2008 Indianapolis 500 with teammate Dan Wheldon taking second. Dixon's No.9 Dallara Honda circled the 2.5-mile speedway four times at an average speed of 226.366 m.p.h.

Dan Wheldon wasn't as fast as his teammate Scott Dixon, but he saved fuel by following his Target Chip Ganassi Racing teammate for most of the day and it paid off with a win.

Scott Dixon and Dan Wheldon dominated qualifying and the Target Chip Ganassi teammates will start side-by-side for Sunday's Road Runner Turbo Indy 300 at the Kansas Speedway. Dixon won with a four-lap time of one minute, 42.3014 seconds (213.956 m.p.h.).

Danica Patrick finally answered her critics by capturing the rain-delayed Japan Indy 300 from the Twin Ring Motegi circuit in Japan. The No.7 Andretti Green Racing driver passed Helio Castroneves with three laps to go and crossed the finish line a comfortable 5.8594 seconds ahead of the field.
Weepers cause IndyCar postponement
Water seeping up through the asphalt (weepers) forced IndyCar officials to postpone the Indy Japan 300. The race has been rescheduled for Saturday at 10 p.m. (et).
Castroneves on pole for third straight time in Japan
Helio Castroneves will start on the pole for Saturday night's Indy Japan 300 at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit after qualifying was rained out.
Rahal in Victory Lane at age 19
Nineteen-year old Graham Rahal won Sunday's Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on the streets of St. Petersburg in his first IndyCar Series race. He is the youngest driver to win an IndyCar event. The No.06 crossed the finish line 3.5192 seconds ahead of Helio Castroneves.

Noon - 1pm

LIVE from Belle Isle, WXYZ-TV crews will cover a community filled with pride as the clock ticks toward the waving of the starter’s flag. Channel 7’s coverage will also include exclusive interviews with drivers and team management as they discuss their race strategies and their final preparations for the days big main event!

2 - 3:30pm

LIVE from Belle Isle WXYZ-TV will feature analysis, interviews and commentaries from Grand Prix drivers, crews, management and racing spectators. The Pit Pass will feature everything from Grand Prix history to driving conditions. WXYZ-TV will also take an in-depth look at what it took to get the Grand Prix back to the city of Detroit after being without its presence for so many years.
