Lauren Thomas is involved with volleyball, track and cheerleading at New Haven High School.
Lauren joined the track team in middle school and has since participated in the 400 meter dash, 400 meter relay, 800 meter relay, long jump, and high jump.
She also cheers at basketball and football games along with attending cheerleading competitions.
Athletic Director Antie Hardy said Lauren is a dedicated and committed student athlete. He also said she is a leader in helping younger athletes become better at their sport.
Lauren was student of the month in math, biology and Spanish. She hopes to one day become a criminal profiler.
In her spare time, Lauren volunteers at an animal shelter and a homeless shelter.
