Nena Doran plays softball and volleyball at Milan High School.
She began playing volleyball in 7th grade along with friends and got into softball through little league.
Softball coach Jennifer Jackson said Nena is a hardworker who has excelled quickly in the sport because she puts in a lot of hours in the summer and off-season.
Nena said she enjoys science classes and would like to become a physical therapist in order to stay connected to sports.
In her spare time, Nena volunteers in city clean-up projects.
