AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Detroit Pistons have announced that they have relieved Michael Curry of his duties as head coach.
President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars says, "This was a difficult decision to make. I want to thank Michael for his hard work and dedication to the organization. However, at this time, I have decided to make a change."
Curry has been the Pistons coach since June 10, 2008. He had a record of 39-43, before being swept out of the NBA playoffs by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.
