After hearing Joe Dumars comment about the inexperience that Michael Curry had as a head coach, I fear that Bill Laimber might perhaps be the next choice; despite the inexperience within the NBA. Doug Collins (who has been here before), or Amir Johnson (whom I felt would have been the likely candidate last year), would make for much better choices than the former. Either way, I would truly like to see someone with not only previous experience in the league, but also a proven track report. The Pistons deserve nothing less!

"It's happened! For me Joe Dumars has lost his halo (basketball rim)! Too many times he has made decisions that can not be deemed wise choices. No Laimbeer!!! Doug Collins? My hearing will not hold up to all that chatter. I vote for the clothes horse. At least he will be fun to look at, and maybe my husband will get inspired to wear a suit and silk tie. Nah!"

Good move to let Mike Curry go!!! Never could understand why he was Joe D's choice.. Always thought of Joe as a person to make good decisions, but he messed up this time. Let's hope they make a good move for our PISTONS this time around. Just love them and basketball!!!! Think hard about who the new leader will be.

Any other season's tickets holders dial into the press conference with Joe D this afternoon? These young players - especially the three draft picks that he wants so desperately on the roster - need a proven track record of NBA caliber leadership. They need someone who can get on the floor, run drills with the team, and not just bark orders. Oh yeah, and they also need someone with the internal strength and confidence to inspire Rodney Stuckey to come out of his shell and become the Pistons' "Little General." Johnson all the way, don't let us down Joe!

I think that Joe should select Bill Lamibeer as the Detroit Pistons next coach.Bill Lamibeer would bring stabilty, creditabilty, and toughness back to the Detroit Pistons; something that has been missing since the Chuck Daly and Larry Brown era.

I think that Joe will name Bill Lamibeer as the next coach of the Detroit Pistons. Lamibeer would bring stabilty, creditability, and a toughness to the Detroit Pistons; something that has been missing since Chuch Daly and Larry Brown left the organization. styler52@comcast.net

Avery Johnson would be a nice fit. If Joe could lure 'The Czar' ( Mike Fratello ) out of the broadcast booth, that would be interesting. But the biggest suprise would be Laimbeer. With all due respect to Bill, we don't need another head coach with no prior NBA head coaching experience. Been there, done that.

Bring back Larry Brown?!?!

Pistons seem to be out of control and floundering. I'm not sure how much impact an NBA coach has anyways. It seems like the players pretty much do what they want. I think the coach just explains what happened after the game and acts like he was involved.
