LIVONIA, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Michigan International Books Festival returns to Livonia for a second straight year this weekend.

The 2-day event is aimed at educating and encouraging youth to read and author books, as well as to bring together hundreds of book writers, role models and teachers of the literary craft.

Books fest will take place Saturday and Sunday, October 20th & 30th at Laurel Park Place. Amongst the writers selling and signing books, will be several celebrity authors including former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm.

Saturday's hours are from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday's show will run from noon until 5 p.m.
