(WXYZ) - The United Way has teamed up with nineteen NFL players in hopes of cutting the high school dropout rate in half by 2018.

Among those NFL players—our very own Cliff Avril. He’s a defensive end for the Detroit Lions.

Professional athletes and students from around the country are participating in a youth empowerment summit discussing how individuals can help cut the dropout rate.
