(WXYZ) - A variety of restaurants from across southeast Michigan will come together Thursday, October 4, to benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan (Gleaners), Capuchin Soup Kitchen and Forgotten Harvest at the first annual Taste Fest 2012. The event will run from 6- 10 p.m. at at Burton Manor located at 27777 Schoolcraft Road in Livonia.
Taste Fest will showcase the diversity of global cuisine by displaying food and drink booths from over 20 different restaurants. Guests are invited to sample a vast selection of culinary delights, fine wines and craft beers from Michigan and all around the world. Supporters can enjoy a variety of food from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. and drinks will be served until 9 p.m. Live entertainment will be provided by local indie pop/rock band Sinjon Smith.

Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased at http://www.bmdcharities.org or by calling 734-422-4567. Each entry ticket includes one sample token for every restaurant and 10 drink tokens. Additional tokens cost $10 for 10.
Guests must be over 21 and proper business attire is required - no jeans.
