(WXYZ) - Winter's chill is still gripping the air, but the state's Pure Michigan tourism campaign is already showing Michigan's summer best across the country.

A new $13 million summer cable TV ad campaign launched on Monday and will run through the end of June.

The ads will feature six warm weather activities and attractions in Michigan, including golfing, biking and fishing, as well as the state's wineries, lighthouses and sand dunes.

The cities of Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids and Traverse City have all partnered with the state to run the campaign, as have the tourist destinations of Mackinac Island and The Henry Ford.

Michigan officials say this is the largest budget dedicated to promoting tourism in Michigan nationally.

The Pure Michigan ads are scheduled to run more than 5,000 times.
