ROCHESTER HILLS (WXYZ) - The charming location of the Village of Rochester Hills shopping center has been transformed into an outdoor art gallery when it hosts the 10th annual Fine Art at the Village of Rochester Hills on Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4, 2013.
More than 100 artists from across the United States have been invited to show their work at Fine Art at the Village of Rochester Hills. An outside panel of experts juried the entries and asked artists with the highest scores to participate. Admission to the festival is free and parking is free.
Artwork in every media will be featured including ceramics, glass, painting, drawing, multi - media, sculpture, photography, fiber art, wood, jewelry and more. The juried art festival is sponsored by Creative Arts Council, a non-profit art group. A panel of experts will judge the artwork in the festival and award outstanding entries.
The artists' booths will fill the main street of the Village as well as the side streets, and traffic will be closed through the center of the Village. There will be plenty of free parking on the outer rim just a few steps away. This return to the original layout makes for a spacious, attractive and flowing route for art fair patrons.
"We believe the beautiful and relaxed atmosphere of the Village of Rochester Hills is the perfect setting to view artwork of this caliber and meet the artists," said Donna Beaubien, executive director of the festival. "Along with enjoying the exciting fine art and fine crafts, patrons can stroll the tree lined streets and visit the over 50 intriguing shop and restaurants. Children can enjoy the playground and participate in the free arts and crafts activities."
