Toys and gadgets can be great gifts for children over the holidays... but have you ever considered giving the gift of music this Christmas?

WATCH ON THE VIDEO PLAYER ON THE LEFT: John Antone, Founder of Axis Music Academy and local student Griffin Siegel join us in studio to talk about Axis Music Academy

Axis Music serves thousands of families in Metro Detroit, with locations in Southfield and Canton, and its new location in Birmingham (in Hamilton Row by the Palladium).

"We are very proud to extend our offerings through a wide range of new programs with our certified instructors,” says Antone. “Furthermore, we are excited to kick off the new year with a state-of-the-art, full service academy in downtown Birmingham!"

The school offers private lessons in guitar, piano, drums, bass, voice, woodwinds and strings, as well as unique classes like rock band, real life glee club, rhythm basics, music theory, songwriting, creative improvisation, and recording and editing with Pro Tools Logic and Final Cut. Axis also offers at home lessons, and Skype lessons that allow students to learn online.
