West Bloomfield mom collaborates with children on new book

(WXYZ) - Andrea Sherr, a West Bloomfield, Mich., mother of three, earned two bachelor’s degrees, a law degree and an MBA.
Last year, Sherr began compiling witty stories about her children and solicited others to contribute to her website, www.HeardonthePlayground.com . Sherr’s new book, H eard on the Playground – Funny Kid Stories (Hugo House Publishers) is a collection of the best 350 entries submitted by parents, grandparents, teachers and friends from across the nation.
Chapters entitled “Birds and Bees,” “Potty Training,” “Pregnancy,” “Religion,” “Gross,” and “Uncensored” are just a few themes in the book. The children's drawings that accompany the stories were created by Sherr’s children and students at Detroit Country Day School.
