(WXYZ) - On Sunday, September 23, WXYZ-TV presented the documentary "The Circle Never Ends."
The film tells the story of West Bloomfield's Friendship Circle.
Founded by Bassie and Rabbi Levi Shemtov, the Friendship Circle helps children of all ages deal with a wide variety of medical issues.
The organization is based around teaching children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and other medical conditions essential life skills through their indoor "city" Lifetown.
Hosted by longtime Detroit broadcaster Eli Zaret, "The Circle Never Ends" examines the work of the Friendship Circle through interviews with the Shemtov's and the children and parents who benefit from their work.
The film was funded by donations from attorney Sam Bernstein, The William Davidson Foundation and other benefactors.
Channel 7 Vice President and General Manager Ed Fernandez says, "When made aware of this remarkable, internationally renowned charity that was created in our own backyard, we felt compelled to bring greater awareness to it.”
"The Circle Never Ends" will air on WXYZ-TV again on Sunday, September 30 at 3:30 p.m.
