Kids Kicking Cancer, an organization that teaches matrial arts to very sick children and their families, has been named a Champion in Action by Channel 7 and Charter One.

Kids Kicking Cancer works to empower children and their families in their battle against illness, pain and fear. Their mantra "Power, Pease, Purpose" is the guiding principle - helping children gain power over their circumstances.

Martial arts therapists are trained to assist children bedside in the hospitals, clinics, at home and in weekly classes using the "Breath Brake" and medatitive techniques to deflect stress and pain.

Kids Kicking Cancer has grown from a small program helping twelve children at Childrens Hospital of Michigan to working with over two thousand children a year.
