(WXYZ) - Channel 7 Vice President and General Manager, Ed Fernandez announced a donation of $10,000 to benefit the Wayne State University: Journalism Institute for Media Diversity.
The donation on behalf of WXYZ-TV and The Scripps Howard Foundation was presented to Professor Ben Burns, Director of WSU Journalism Program and Professor Alicia Nails, Director of the Journalism Institute for Media Diversity.
The donation will provide financial support through scholarship dollars and advocate for diversity in the media.
