Thirty-two years in the making and in rain or shine the Brightest and Best must go on. This past Saturday over 200 high school valedictorians from the metro Detroit area gathered at the broadcast house to be honored for their achievements and for being the Brightest and Best of their high school class.
Even the rain couldn't put a damper on the day. The students came dressed in their gowns and were ready to be acknowledged for their achievements.
Not only was this a big day for the 2011 graduates, but it was also the start date of the new WXYZ-TV interns. The interns took on many duties and executed them in outstanding ways.
Personally, as an intern and an event management minor, I feel as if the event ran very smoothly. It was a great way to start out my internship and an honor to help execute such a well known event. It is a pleasure to be part of the WXYZ intern team. I am looking forward to this summer and all the unique assignments, which will be coming my way.
