(WXYZ) - 7 Action News Reporter Nima Shaffe is honored to be serving as the emcee for the 21st annual American Arab Chamber of Commerce Building Economic Bridges.
The event which will celebrate the achievements of Farouk Shami. A native of the West Bank (Middle East). Mr. Shami engineered the first ammonia free hair color. In his portfolio, the famous CHI irons that many use today to curl, straighten and style their hair.
Mohamad Issa will also be honored. He's most known for his work in bridging the economies of business and education the the metropolitan Detroit area.
The keynote speaker for the event is Ali Velshi. Velshi is the host of Al-Jazeera America's nightly business program. He previously worked for CNN.
Our Nima Shaffe will help steer the event along. The night kicks off at 5:30 with a VIP reception at the Detriot Marriott Hotel at the Renaissance Center.
