KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The cast of "Modern Family" ended up trapped in a Kansas City elevator Friday night, according to a fire official.
Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet were all in town for a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Kansas City at Crown Center.
Just after 9 p.m. Friday, fire crews were called to the Sheraton Hotel at Crown Center on reports of an elevator rescue. Rumors that the cast was involved immediately started flying on Twitter.
Ferguson even tweeted a picture of them in the elevator, pictured above.
A firefighter confirmed to our Kansas City sister station KSHB TV that 15 people were stuck on a freight elevator at the hotel -- including the cast members. They were all rescued just before 10 p.m.
